Why Should I Lose Weight?

“Why Should I Lose Weight?  People should love me just the way I am.” Yes they should!!  And your people surely do love you just the way you are.  Which is exactly why you should lose the extra weight you’ve been carrying around; your people want you to enjoy great health and be around for a very long time, maximizing life together! Extra weight isn’t all about the way you look.  Extra weight is hard on your health. According to the U.S. Center for Disease Control: Obesity is a national epidemic, causing higher medical costs and a lower quality of life.
  • Obesity means having excess body fat. Obesity is defined by body mass index, or BMI, which is calculated from your height and weight.
  • BMI greater than or equal to 30 means you are obese.
  • Obesity is a contributing cause of many other health problems, including heart disease, stroke, diabetes, and some types of cancer. These are some of the leading causes of death in the U.S. Obesity can cause sleep apnea and breathing problems and make activity more difficult. Obesity can also cause problems during pregnancy or make it more difficult for a woman to become pregnant.
  • Obese persons require more costly medical care. Persons who are obese have medical costs that are $1,429 higher than those of normal weight.
I know, I hear you:                                  “Wait.  I’m not obese!” To define whether or not a person is obese, the CDC has a great tool for calculating BMI, with tables to help you define your body situation. So perhaps you’ve gone to the chart, and you are not considered obese.  That’s great!  Or you discovered that you are labelled as an obese person.  Well, you’re not alone.  According to the CDC, in 2010 there were more than 72 million obese adults in America.  A lot of people out there are considered obese.   Maybe it isn’t you.  Maybe you just have a few extra pounds to take off, or 20 or 30 pounds to take off.  Regardless, let’s quit with the label and get on with a healthier life. So we talked about all the many ways that being overweight heightens your risk for many serious dieases, as stated by the CDC.  But even if you didn’t develop one of those horrible diseases, being overweight (which is typically coupled with candida overgrowth) will certainly cause you to suffer from these conditions:   Joint pain (knees, hips and ankles) Fatigue Brain Fog Gut pain, Flatulence, Bloating Acne (and other uncomfortable and unsightly skin irritations) Thrush (mouth sores and white film in the mouth) The list goes on and on…   Being overweight takes the “zip” out of life, and the fun out of you.   Yes, you are going to age.  But aging doesn’t have to equal getting overweight and slow, and feeling like you don’t want to participate in the fun things anymore.  You should hike, ski, ride horse, go on a bike ride, go to your grandchild’s football game and run up and down the sideline like a crazy person; get out there and Live.   The Skinny Up! weight loss protocol, using the life-giving support of the Skinny Up! product line, is an incredible way to lose the optimal amount of weight, while receiving incredible nutritional supplementation.
