It Might Be Time to Detox

Why Should We Detox?

Alright, you’ve heard of detox… we know.

Detoxification is important due to the many benefits it provides the body in terms of cleansing the body. Cellular detox, heavy metal detox, parasitic detox, yeast detox, sugar detox, etc are all forms of detoxing, but each serves its own purpose.

In my opinion, cellular detox is the basis of all other detoxes. In the healthcare profession, we really would like to see the cell be able to, at the most basic level, give its garbage up by taking it the external wall of the cell, then transport it over and across to the other side where the body can have the “trash collectors” come take it away via the lymph system.

In today’s world, it’s not that easy. With the ease of life and the propensity to sit for hours on end, the body does not move, which means that the body has a restriction to breathing deep. As this happens, it becomes stagnant and the fluids become thick which labors respiration. This “ease” of life causes a general lack of motion and therefore a lack of life-giving contraction. Contraction is needed to allow the release of the muscular and lymph systems that pump the “life fluids” and oxygen throughout the tissues of the body.

Being static or experiencing a stasis in life causes the body to slow, to get sluggish and to begin to age early and poorly.

This is why we detox; to head the damage off at the pass and to give the body a chance to survive and possibly thrive.

Take a Break From The “American Diet”

You know when it is time to give yourself a break.

In America, detoxification or the withdrawal from the standard American diet should be actively sought at least 2 times per year. Go ahead and give the body a chance to digest something besides the constant food being taken in and the stress on the precious digestive system. It turns out, the digestive system is the ‘ground zero’ of all that makes or breaks you as far as regeneration of the body, rebooting of the immune system and the overall regaining of one’s health and fitness in its truest measure.
